Fiberarts Connection of Southern California is a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organization dedicated to providing support and professional development for physically challenged and emerging fiber artists.

We offer one or more juried challenges or competitions a year followed by traveling venues in the United States.

Although there are never any guarantees with juried events, this site is intended to teach you some of the important things you need to learn in ordered to have a strong chance of getting into a juried event if that is your goal. We also will deal with how to make good choices when you are entering events so that you will have a consistent performance record of finishing your pieces and getting in all the required paperwork and entry fees in a timely manner. We can show you how to write a strong statement, and how to put together your own portfolio for presenting yourself professionally. And we can provide information for getting the most out of whatever resources you have to put into your professional career.

You can post your fiber art pieces for critiques that are objective and helpful. And you can keep up with the news of our upcoming events and participate in our bimonthly challenge subgroup, Fiberarts Squared.

There is no membership per se other than subscribing to the list and getting initial approval from the administrators. This is just to prevent spammers or those with other agendas. We talk about other things generally related to our fiber art work, shows and other related topics, and good friendship topics as well. There is no flaming or inappropriate treatment of others allowed here, so it is a safe place to grow your work, your professional development, and to make good friends. We look forward to having you join us.
