Our purpose here is to provide a safe forum for expression of spiritual and pastoral concerns, along with compassionate and understanding response. We invite thoughtful discussion, sometimes moderated, sometimes free-flowing. All our postings should be supportive of our common intention to lives of prayer, and contentious dialogue is not allowed. This care with one another is especially critical because we represent a variety of Christian denominations. Also, in keeping with the spirit of dialogue, we prefer that members post original messages, rather than forwarding other literature (except for brief quotes on which to comment or mention of suggested reading).
In order to preserve an atmosphere of safety, unless a name is given in a message, members may be called by nicknames or screen names. Also, members should be aware that though they may be responding to one particular message, the entire group, (representing a variety of backgrounds and viewpoints) will be able to read every posting.
