Here is the letter I got from RUIN, just for the record:

Dear Mr. Burke:

It has come to our attention that there are ReUseItNetwork affiliated
groups listed on the Freesharing.org directory without the knowledge
or permission of the group owners. We recognize that many of the
listings in the Freesharing directory are there at the request of the
group owners, but many are not. As you know, the ReUseIt Network did
not provide a list of names or addresses to Freesharing.org, nor did
we give Freesharing.org permission to harvest groups from the RIN
website directory.

We urge you to remove from your website any and all groups for which
you do not have permission to list. In addition, we ask that you
honor, in a timely fashion, all requests from group owners who ask to
have their groups removed from the site.

We appreciate your prompt attention to this matter.

And also just for the record, FS is just a big directory, not really
an organization, I don't run any groups, I just list em so folks can
find em, and the "rules" (no selling, etc) are just what qualifies a
group for being listed.
As a directory service I'm not required to get anyones permission to
list their group in the directory, so any talk about lawyers and
lawsuits is just plain stupid.
And in case your reading this and missed my last post, the Ron Paul
graphic has already been removed.
