FCHJ used to stand for the "First Church of Historical Jesus." Since FCHJ.com has moved away from the idea of an online "church" to an online biblical textual research and criticism site, that name no longer applies to this list as well. Consider the name "Finding the Core of the Historical Jesus" more to the point.
This mailing list is open to anyone who wishes to discuss the sayings, parables and deeds of the Historical Jesus (and of the various mythical dimensions of the gospel narratives) and their influence on our lives. You are welcome, no matter your opinions or even your faith.
