The Berean List Guidelines:

- The Setting:

I created this list intending to have an atmosphere of a friendly coffee shop. A coffee shop setting is one that is laid back or at times intense depending on who is talking and what is being discussed. This list is NOT intended to replace a bible study setting so it is to be informal. Discussion is open to all people and either gender can speak their Christ-cultivated mind.

I would hope to see a lot of talk about how our Father and his beloved son Jesus Christ the righteous are affecting our lives. This may be simple testimony, prayer requests or discussion. Be it understood that you are letting 40 + people know what you are feeling and you will get 40 + different responses (even if most are silent). So expect diversity!

Some coffee table discussions are doctrinal. There ARE GOING TO BE disagreements doctrinally. There is SO MUCH diversity among FBS, exJWs and other interested ones that we SHOULD NOT EXPECT conformity on the list! So, if a discussion gets heated, it is your right to stop participating in a thread. I see nothing wrong with that. Understand that you are inviting comments from men and women of different religious understandings and maturity. That's the nature of a coffee table discussion.
