Hello, this is actually my first post. My great grandmother is Elsie (Workman)
Brady, she is the great granddaughter of Richard Crossland and Eliza. Her
grandparents were James Gray Crossland and Catherine Fosbrink (as far as I can
tell anyway). Any information above and beyond what has already been posted
would be appreciated.
My main purpose for joining this group was to find information on the Gibson
side of my family. My great grandfather is William Earl Gibson born Nov. 9, 1911
in Star Junction, PA died June 5, 2005 in Uniontown. His wife was Mildred Marie
(Lehman) Gibson born July 11, 1913 in Uniontown died August 20, 2007. I have
William's parents listed as William Earl Gibson of Bell Vernon, PA and Myrtle
Dowden of Vanderbilt, PA. I have no further information on Mildred Marie Lehman.
If anyone has access to an obituary or any information, it would be greatly
appreciated.
Both sides of my family are from Fayette County PA and it is simply amazing that
this information is on this group and on the Fayette County site.
I'm writing from Indiana.
Thank you,
Yvonne Gibson

TOLD ME MY GREAT GRANDFATHER WAS FROM MT. PLEASANT. I HAD ASKED HER HOW WE GOT
THE LAST NAME OF CROSSLAND SINCE MY GREAT GRANDMOTHER' S NAME WAS ELIZA
ELLENBERGER. SHE WAS NEVER MARRIED. GEORGE CROSSLAND AND ELIZA ELLENBERGER HAD
MY GRANDFATHER CLARK CROSSLAND. BACK THEN, IT WOULD PROBABLY HAVE BEEN QUITE A
SCANDAL. ELIZA BEING AN UNWED MOTHER. ONCE AGAIN THANK YOU. LINDA
