Hi Paco!
saw your e-mail. I hope that you put some pic so that people can see
what kind of a parka you have! E-mail me back and I hope to hear from
you!!!!
Ciao
James :)

Hi all. I'm new to this group. I was glad to watch that vid that
Dominic posted on this group. I'm also glad to see the Dominic is
still about. I've not seen him for a long time. I wondered what had
happened to him.

Dear Fashion Parkas,Thanks for your nice sites.
I have visited your Parkapages site recently and was sorry to see the
parka design and discussion boards not available. Can they be restored
or am I just having problems with my computer ?
I just love to wear parkas with furry hoods.Put your hood up and keep
it up!
Hi,
just added a 10min (Real Player) movie to the Files section -
"dressing in down". I t shows me adding layers of down clothing
including - face mask, thermal jacket, ski bibs, vest, parka, TNF
himalayan down suit, gloves and down mitts.
Hope you enjoy -
Dominic
Dear Fashionparkas I am a female student in London and always wear hood.I do not show more than my eyes.I have two snorkel parkas.I buy them much larger than I need.I wear them with the snorkel hood fully done up. It annoys me to see women with lovely hooded coats who do not wear the hoods up.
I'm living in France near the atlantic ocean, I like wear a COTTEN ROSBRAS rain coat when the wind is blowind, the best is in the storm, I like to see the wind against the cotten rain coat! I like very much the girl with the cotten rain with the hood up.

Have to agree on the North Face Himalayan (old style) hood. What I
hate is the two thin strips of velcro that have to be lined up to
close the hood - it's awkward and leaves no chance of adjusting the
hood for a snug fit. If the hood cords are tightened too much the
hood just rides up to block your view (and freeze your neck) At least
the new Himalayan suit and Baltoro jacket have hoods that are more
fully integrated and can be zipped up 'to the nose' if needed (Nice!).
RAB Parka jackets have hoods that are so small that you will need a
good mask to keep your face warm. If your head is larger than 'small'
you'd be better looking elsewhere. It's a shame since the
quality/price of RAB is good
Best hood on a jacket or suit? Any suggestions?
Rgds

anyway, lets get some messages moving in this group, by
starting a discussion on what you don't like on some parkas.
1] North Face Himalayan Suit / Parka (older style) - There is a
very poor overlap between the bottom of the hood and the collar,
so that if you lift your head, you freeze your neck.
2] Polo Sport / Ralph Lauren Down parkas - I have a silver one
and have tried a black 2002 model on in store, the press studs
on 3 parkas in the store fell off (2 on one parka) and one off on
my own - they were not crimped properly.
What problems have you found?

Hello!!
I have started a group called " the love of long downcoats".
I have a fetish for soft and silky long downcoats. I have uploaded
some images, so come and join me for some downcoat fun.

Hello
I have tentatively started a new group, called down jackets. It
should be listed in the fashion directory or I think you can access
it at downjacket-subscribe@yahoogroups.com. Alternatively you can e-
mail me at scottmannion2000@....
The idea of the group is to compliment the parka pages with pictures
of shiny down jackets and suits. No nudity or street shots and we'll
see what develops.

Welcome to this group, currently I am uploading my own images
and should have this done in a few days. I am seperating my
own images into two files, one with parkas whose brand names
/ manufacturer I know and the other for the unknowns. Once
done I will approve any pending memberships. I hope you enjoy
this group.
