Description

The mission of the Filipino American National Historical Society shall be to promote understanding, education, enlightenment, appreciation and enrichment through the identification, gathering, preservation and dissemination of the history and culture of Filipino Americans in the United States.

The Metropolitan New York Chapter was organized March 5, 1990, chartered February 13, 1991 and covers the state regions of Southeastern New York and Western Connecticut. As of March, 2006, Northern NJ has joined with the New Jersey Chapter, whose headquarters is in Jersey City.

If you are interested in the history and culture of Filipino Americans, particularly in southeastern NY and western CT, please join our chapter and this YahooGroup.
