Learning that a child has a disability can sometimes be an emotional time for parents.
Family, friends, and professionals can provide support, but few can say "I've been there."
The most valuable source of emotional support and encouragement is another parent who also has a child with special needs.
Families Together, Inc. is the Parent Training and Information Center for Kansas. This on-line support group/listserve is for Kansas families which include a child who has a disability and those individuals who care for and about our amazing children.
We hope you will use this group to share your stories, ideas and resources. While our staff members may post or respond to questions, if you would like help from a member of our statewide staff please contact the center near you. Contact information is located on our website at www.familiestogetherinc.org/locationswithmap.htm
You are welcome. If you have any concerns or questions please do not hesitate to let me know. Leia On Mon, Aug 31, 2009 at 10:00 PM, MRS. JEANETTE REBOLD <
