Families of Prisoners, we number in the hundreds of thousands, we are of every race, religion, economic level, state, county and city of this country. Our lack of Organization has kept us from claiming the power to make the changes we know are needed in the D.O.C.? Because of this, we have let ourselves become intimidated as DOC hold our loved ones in a hostage situation, we have allowed the Media to convince us that we can do nothing and we should be ashamed of ourselves for trying. THEY are wrong! Though we against "shot callers" within our own ranks, having had enough of that from the DOC, we can still work harmoniously together! We need not send money to another nor fight issues we don't want to fight. Each member can each do what he/she feels needs to be done, use our own money where we feel it is best needed and still ORGANIZE! We can and do make a difference. What now have easy access to information one another via the Internet Families of Prisoners is an organization intended as such a tool for prison reform. Use this site to let others know what you are doing in the fight against the abuses of the DOC. No matter what state you are in or what you are fighting. Post your groups activities here, post copies of the letters you write for those without the same confidence in their abilities to use. Post flyers, request help. Let others KNOW what you are doing. Get to know others. TAKE CONTROL! Make Families of Prisoners a loosely bonded organization of ALL the individuals and groups fighting for our own and our family members rights. ‘United we Stand, divided we fall’. We can help one another in our fights, it's just THAT we fight; and we have already proven that WE DO MAKE A DIFFERENCE!As we fight here we can also support each other.
