Hi Tony The compass on my Bass boat was mounted on the back of the centreboard casing. Perhaps it had compensators to balance out the centreplate, I dont know...

The mizzen sits in the back port side corner on my boat '413' it has a little socket that goes down into the back locker and supports the mast without rigging....
