Training a wild raptor is not easy. Our primary goal is to see nature in a way that other humans can never imagine, through the cooperation developed between raptorial birds and humans.
If it were not for Falconers, many raptorial species would have had little chance for population recovery, such as the Bald Eagle, Osprey, California Condor and Peregrine Falcon ... we are the raptor specialists!
We do not solicit new falconers here, and don't suggest it as a new lifestyle. Only those seriously interested in, and/or presently involved in falconry should join us. With only about 5000 of us in N.A., we are a rare breed of our own.
