I read in a Ranger/PT-19 manual the bare min is 3 gal’s with normal operating 3 ½ to 4 gal’s. Jack Jack Threadgill 1602 Brook Hollow Dr Bryan, TX 77802
I keep mine about 3.5 gals. If I keep it topped off, it seems to blow out. The bottom of the bevel of the spout for the oil filler cap seems to work for me
Just FYI. I have tried several headsets in my PT-19 and have had trouble finding ones that work well. I purchased a new Lightspeed Zulu at Oshkosh this year
