Extreme Journalism is a process developed by Juliana Coles that combines Journal writing with art making in the safe container of a blank book or sketchbook for self expression in order to develop self dialogue. This group is created as a forum for my students and other curious souls who have discovered this unique and exciting process through my workshops, classes and retreats held around the world. It is dedicated to those who are willing to challenge humanity with the language of their soul. It is created with a desire to connnect these creative and expressive voices that I have been working with over the years. This group allows us to connect and share our beautiful and beastly experiences of unfolding and meeting the self through the shadowy mist we create in the pages of our incredible mixed media journals. This is a site to discuss the mythological and archetypal aspects of Expressive or Extreme Visual Journaling and how we develop a richer self by doing this type of work. I want this to be a meaningful group, dedicated to those seeking deeper meaning to their life, work and expression.
