We are all now familiar with the “crisis”, the “epidemic”, the “economic cleansing” of SF. The rapid displacement of long term residents, non-profit organizations, artists, activists and art spaces rushes headlong without thought or pause. The integrity and cultural value of our city is disintegrating before our very eyes. We encourage concerned citizens to engage in non-violent, direct action occupations and ongoing protection of endangered sites. Inspired by the creative and fierce tactics the environmental movement has developed and honed over the last few decades, we should apply our work as artists and image makers in a tremendous outpouring of creative resistance.
