The Dutch have bloodhounds working in Uruzgan province. Australia uses the Bloodies there, too. Meanwhile the U.S. hasn't used nose dogs or had integrated Combat Tracking Teams for back-tracking since 1975.
U.S. Army had 537 dog teams in 2007. Perfect for tracking. Not one of these teams is being used to seal off the Pakistan border or to track assassination teams.
