The matter/spirit dichotomy is well known, practically a common place. It
was also pervasive in Gnosticism.

I'm not even sure what the issue is here. If some Greeks were more willing
to accept a bodily resurrection than others, all the better for them when
they hear the Gospel.

That is what history states about the wide ranging Greek philosophic
culture and its many influences. To see who believed what and when and how
influences proceeded inter-culturally requires studying it in some degree of
detail.

That is the accumulation of facts and evidence that influences the degree of
accuracy of one's beliefs about historical events, which is important to some
people who state their beliefs about the past.
