The European Portable Radio Group is a discussion forum for all aspects of Portable Radio operation in Amateur Radio, i.e. Walking Portable, Portable Operating from a Remote Location, Pic-Nic Table or Mountaintop, Mobile, Bicycle or Motorcycle Mobile etc.

Use this Yahoo Group to post skeds and reports, info about equipment, antennas, propagation - anything to do with Portable Radio.

Any mode that can be used while portable (CW, SSB, RTTY, PACTOR and OTHER DIGITAL MODES, PACKET RADIO, APRS, DSTAR, SSTV, ATV, SAT, also Radio e-mail such as WINLINK2000, PACKET-MAIL, PSKmail etc.) on any radio amateur bands (HF/VHF/UHF etc.) is accepted as a discussion topic.

This is not an OPEN GROUP, it is only for Radio Amateurs and SWLs. When you first subscribe you MUST state your REAL NAME, CALLSIGN or SWL number and your interests.

New members always start in moderated mode (your first message is checked before it is posted). This might delay your first post, but it's the only way to ensure that messages are appropriate for all ages and also to prevent spamming.

Flamewars and/or verbal abuse will not be tolerated. Any member violating this rule will be banned without warning.

Call CQ European Portable Radio Group or just CQ EPRG on 14,340 KHz (+/- QRM) on SSB/CW as often as you can.
