The Eastern Upper Peninsula Amateur Radio Club owns and operates four repeaters within the three counties of Chippewa, Luce and Mackinac. The 147.21 / PL 107.2 Hz repeater on the campus of Lake Superior State University in Sault Ste.Marie, MI, the 146.64 / PL 107.2 Hz repeater near Pickford, MI (both under the license, W8EUP), the 147.33 / PL 107.2 Hz repeater near Strongs MI and the 449.900 / PL 107.2 Hz in Newberry, MI ( both under the license, W8ARS). As well, we maintain the W8EUP-15 APRS digipeater in tandom with the 146.64 repeater from the Pickford tower. The club also holds special contesting call sign, KA8F. The club provides amateur radio services to Chippewa/Mackinac and Luce counties; conducts amateur radio licensing classes and test sessions; and, promotes amateur radio activities among club members. Persons with an interest in amateur radio are encouraged to join this group. The "YOOPER" Club is open to all radio amateurs, and boasts members from the Algoma District of Ontario as well as the Eastern Upper Peninsula and Northern Lower Peninsula of Michigan. Rev: 03/2012
