We are located in Eugene, Oregon.
~What is babywearing?~
Babywearing is the practice of carrying your baby close to your body in a pouch, sling, wrap, or other soft baby carrier. Research has shown that babies who are carried often cry less and have better physical, emotional and mental development.
~Your sling (or other carrier) should not be causing you pain!~
If you find that your back, neck, or anything else is sore after carrying your baby, please get help! Most people are generally wearing their carrier correctly and only need slight adjustments to achieve comfort.
~Why a group?~
There is an overwhelming amount of information available online, and in-person help can be invaluable to someone who is new to babywearing, having trouble, or needs support.
~Who can join?~
Everyone who is interested in babywearing is welcome to join our group and attend meetings. We don't focus on one brand or type of baby carrier. This group does not focus on one particular parenting style.
We have a strict NO SPAM policy. No marketing of any kind for whatever reason. Do not hand out brochures, business cards or post 'special offers'. We do not sell anything at our meetings.
When you join the group you will be required to post responses to a small survey before being approved for membership. The survey questions will be emailed to you when you request membership.
