The eteacherlounge is based on educational reform driven by humanism. What is required? As Dewey and Makiguchi would state on educational reform: We need human transformation--a human revolution. A human revolution in teaching and learning towards the happiness of all children. By teaching and learning with the needs and happiness of children, education's prime point that all children can learn happens. The prime point of developmental appropriate practice occurs. Developmental appropriate practices begins to grow through professional development: Teachers learning and teaching together. All teachers becoming mentors transforming themselves and the community of learners. This site is a "Call to Action: Teachers Teaching Teachers."
We are all teachers on a global level. Our global-educational society today faces myriad, interlocking crises. September 11 is our actual proof. Globally, today's issues include problematic behavior, school voilence, and absenteeism. Let's join the professional development call to action: Teachers teaching Teacher.
