This group provides a forum to discuss current events and issues related to personal safety for social and human service workers. We human service workers face many stressors. Whether threats come from our clients, their families, the neighborhoods we visit; our co-workers, bosses or general working environments — we need help. This discussion group is one way for us to increase our awareness, not only of the threats we face, but also the strategies that our peers have developed to deal with those threats. These strategies can include anything from self defense techniques to legislative initiatives.
