Joel
I feel your pain with the upgrade problem. Â I kept the original install files,
so when I experienced the problem, I backed Sigil out of my system and installed
the older version....and it works.
As for file boating, I can't complain. Â My file sizes have been reasonable but
then again, I'm just a novice.
This is great! Â Please keep in touch........and don't give up on
"windoze"......but I am looking to buy a Mac someday....someday.
Take care
All the best
Eduardo

Subject: [epub-community] Re: Anybody Using Legend Maker to Create eBooks?
Â
Thanks for the responses, Tom & Eduardo. It appears that Legend Maker is Mac
only. I used a version of Sigil a while ago to create eBooks and it worked quite
well. They had an upgrade to it and something broke, but I don't remember what
it was. I agree, it was a pretty good tool. I also use Calibre but have been
told it bloats the files. It also offers little control over the final output.
I think I will try creating some eBooks from the same rtf source using Apple
Pages, Legend Maker, Calibre, InDesign 5 (haven't upgraded to 5.5 yet), and
maybe something else that folks want to recommend. Maybe I'll give Sigil another
look, too. I'll look at the file sizes and quality of output. I will also take a
peek inside the files with Oxygen. Any other suggestions? They need to have Mac
versions. My fingers don't work on Windoze machines... :)
Thanks! Joel
