Description

The ePub Community is for serious, in-depth discussion and information exchange, technical and non-technical, of IDPF’s “ePub” digital publication format. Three IDPF open specifications underlie ePub: OPS, OPF and OCF.

Currently, the moniker “ePub” (or any of its variants) is not officially standardized by IDPF, but may be in the near future.

Allowed discussion topics are quite broad in scope provided they relate, in some manner, to ePub or any of the underlying specifications. Commercially-oriented messages, so long as they are relevant and objective in tone, may be allowed at the discretion of the moderators. However, announcements or promotions of specific titles distributed in ePub are not allowed.

The “Prime Directive” of this group is based on the Golden Rule. When posting a message, keep the substance and tone of your message objective, cordial, and respectful. Focus on thoughts and ideas, not the person.

Messages are lightly moderated, primarily to filter out those which:

  • are off-topic,
  • violate the “Prime Directive,” and
  • may cause unwanted disruption.

The moderators may take any action deemed necessary to maintain this group’s integrity.

Note that this group is independent, not affiliated in any manner with IDPF.

Group co-founders/co-moderators: Mike Cook, David Rothman, Hadrien Gardeur, and Jon Noring.

I use "Sigil" and found it pretty friendly....the interface isn't all that bad. For book management, I use "Caliber" Thanks for the heads up, though. From New
