As news of gallaudet president designate dr. Jane k. Ferendes'
termination spreads around deafdom I wish to thank Dr. Cyntha Ashby
for her patience, her steadfast devotion to "doing the right
thing". She is our closest member of the board of trustees. In all
fairness to Dr. Ashby, I learned that on the original vote last
april/may SOME members were told their presence was not necessary
while others were "sent" on break when the voting was performed.
(Manipulations) Naturally Dr. Ashby can not comment due to
confidentiality, and I don't know if she was present or not.
Regardless, I have found Dr. Ashby to be very open and just (fair).

According to gallaudet guidelines, ALL communications to Board
members must go through the president's office. This means we can not
directly contact and discuss or thank Dr. Ashby. What we CAN do is
SMILE, send her holiday cards, etc. (General friendliness will get
the message through that she is thought of.)
