Jean Blanche is my cousin. Her daughter works for the British Consulate.
This is very good source. These steps must be taken before June 1, when this
thing "becomes" a virus.

This particular email message is a hoax. The file that is mentioned in the
hoax, however, Sulfnbk.exe, is a Microsoft Windows utility that is used to
restore long file names, and like any .exe file, it can be infected
by a virus that targets .exe files.

        The virus/worm W32.Magistr.24876@mm
  <http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.magistr.24876@mm.html>
can arrive as an attachment named Sulfnbk.exe. The Sulfnbk.exe file used by
Windows is located in the C:\Windows\Command folder. If the file is located
in any other folder, or arrives as an attachment to a email message, then it
is possible that the file is infected. In this case, if a scan with the
latest virus definitions and with NAV set to scan all files does not detect
the file as being infected, quarantine and submit the file to SARC for
analysis by following the instructions in the document How to submit a file
to SARC using Scan and Deliver
  <http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/nav.nsf/docid/2000031615501306> .

  * If you have deleted the Sulfnbk.exe file from the
C:\Windows\Command
folder and want to know how to restore the file, you should contact your
computer manufacturer or Microsoft for assistance. As an alternative, if
you are running Windows 98 or Windows Me, see the document How to extract
files in Safe Mode under Windows 98 or Windows Millennium
  <http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2001032013481039>

NOTE: The instructions in this document are provided for your convenience.
The extraction of Windows files uses Microsoft programs and commands.
Symantec does not provide warranty support for or assistance with Microsoft
products.

I did ask this before on (OZShips) and I thank those that tried to help.
But I'm still stuck........

So I thought I would try again on other email lists as well with
some more details

My G G Grandfather came to Australia but I can't find what ship
he came to Australia on.

His Name is John George MAY. Death Certificate States he died
in 1925 (age 76) and states that he was in NSW for 57 Years

So I guess that he came to Australia in 1868 at the age of 19

He Started living his life in Nambucca/Macleay River/Kempsey, NSW,
which is half way between Sydney & Brisbane.
Could he have come in to Brisbane??

His last known address was (from 1851 Census)
29 Waterloo Street, Devonport, Devon - England.
He was working as a Shipwright at the
HM Dockyard (Devonport - I Assume)

He was born at Stoke Damerel, Devon - England.

I HOPE that someone can help............. Please...........

Also if anyone is researching the Surnames - MAY - BOND - COLLINGS
Mainly from Devonport & Stoke Damerel, Devon..... as I have
plenty of names that I am working on from there & would love to
find someone that has a connection.
Plus many other surnames that are listed on my web site.

Regards, Derek May.
Sydney, Australia.

Currently Researching the Surnames of :
Direct Decsendants - May, Kennedy, Oakes, Milligan, Smith,

Hi Listers,

I am looking for my ancestors:

William CHENOWETH, married Priscilla CARKEET, both from Cornwall. They
migrated to Nth Qld, Australia in 1880's.

Caroline WALLACE, b 1841, Cambridge, Eng., married William WORDSWORTH, and
after his death migrated to Nth Qld. She later married William MURRAY.

John FRASER, b. 1828 in Scotland, married Janet WESTWATER, b. 1826 in Scotland.
They migrated to Nth Qld also with approx 6 children in 1883.

Does anyone have any connections to any of these names?

regards

Monica

FAMILY TREE COLUMN –with JANET REAKES

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced the
release of the 1880 United States Census on CD-ROM. The database is the
culmination of 17 years and 11.5 million hours of work and fills 56
CD-ROMs. Researchers can quickly access information on the 50,475,336
inhabitants of the 38 states and eight territories that
were part of the United States at the time. "Because the 1890 Census was

destroyed by fire, there is no other federal source like this for 20
years," said David E. Rencher, director of the Family History Library in

Salt Lake City, Utah.

Copies of the CD set can be purchased from The Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints, PO Box 2723, Carlingford Court NSW 2118 for $89.10.
Phone orders by credit card accepted on 0298415 333.

You should shortly be able to see it for free at The Church’s family
history centre in Hervey Bay.

The reason why this CD-ROM would be interesting to someone with
Australian and British Isles ancestry is that branches of your tree
could easily have ended up in the US. It was often the case where one
brother went to America, another to Australia and one to Canada or New
Zealand. I know several of my Reakes relatives migrated at various times
to the USA.

Re virus alerts, it is best to check them with your virus program or one of

I am trying to locate the death certificate of my g-grandfather George
Ernest CALDWELL who died on 2 May 1922. I do not know exactly where in the
UK he died but I am told that it was either in London or somewhere in Wales
(most likely Cardiff).

Can anyone give me any suggestions/thoughts on where to start looking for
this certificate?

Many thanks

KENT FAMILY HISTORY SOCIETY
Looking for anyone who belongs to this group.

Before I join I would like to confirm that I'm looking in the right area.
I have one Martha Elizabeth ROSE who has her birth recorded as Kent,
about 1823 or 1824, on her death certificate (New Zealand, October 1903).
If she could be found on any records they have, then it would be most
likely I could find more of her family in the same area.
Therefore joining the Society would be useful.

Can anyone help please!

Sorry for the delay in answering, but have just suffered a major
computer crash, and am only now back up and running.

The only information on the "Street" name I have is as follows :-

Joanna Street married Phineas Wood c. 1670 and had at least one child,
Joanne (Joane) b. 25.3.1673, m. 7.2.1699 Andrew Porter.

Good morning everyone, I've had a look at the first film for St Georges,

37 Brook St, HS. White Lion.
William WILLCOCK, Publican.

Jesse SMITH, Publican.

27 Brooks Mews, HS. White Horse.
