Welcome to the Elimination Communication email group! Our members include all the published EC authors and a huge variety of experienced EC parents, all here to help and answer your questions!

This email list is unique in that it is aimed at a specific topic, but other threads (known as "OT" or "Off Topic") are allowed to co-exist. This means that along with EC, we might be discussing anything from nutrition to parenting. This also means that it can sometimes be a high-volume list. (We don't want to scare you off, just forewarn you!) If you join and decide that it's too much, we would be more than happy to point you in the direction of other places you can learn about EC. You can also choose to read online, viewing only the topics related to EC, or just delete the email in your inbox that is marked "OT".

The founder of our list, Earthmoon, recently retired as owner. However, I am including her "Introduction to the list" below because much of it still holds true, and also because we the new moderators are trying to keep the list in the spirit in which it was created.

"Elimination Communication is how unindustrialized tribal peoples and evolving humans cared for their babies WITHOUT diapers. :) Babies come into the world with the tools to tell us when they need to nurse, when they need to be held and also when the need to pee and poop. All you have to do is get in touch :)

This list falls into the 'Alternative parenting' and 'Attachment parenting' category. Please respect these limits, by which I mean, make no posts referring to or in support of punishing/abandoning child rearing methods such as Ezzo or the Pearls etc.
