Well, after browsing through this "Real Sindarin Phrase Book" I would say that
there are some plausible phrases intermingled with questionable and totally
incorrect ones.

A great disadvantage of this website - for those who are interested in the
language and not just looking for a random RPG phrase - is the fact that
reconstructed/made-up words are not marked, e.g. by asterisks, let alone
explained.

For instance, extensive use is made of a S. (?) verb _*mer-_, 'want' (e.g. 'I
want bread' – _Merin mass_).
Although this is interpretable, if one knows Quenya, there are more cryptical
words, such as a verb _*leutha-_ (e.g. 'Point out the thing that [f] you want' -
_Leutho i nad i meril_).

Furthermore, information from PE17 is not incorporated. We still find the
second-person sg. ending _-ch_ (e.g. 'do [inf] you understand' - _Heniach?_),
and so on.

Generally, words that belong to quite different dates of origin are mixed up
indistinguishably, especially pronouns. So, one finds N. _hon_, _hen_ next to
_den_ ('him' / 'her'), without any explanation.

Besides, there are outright errors, e.g. the imperative _*medo_ - 'eat', or the
"useful adjective" (?) _*gorant_.

All in all, one must check up carefully on every single word and form regarding
their potential "correctness".

Truth be told, the site is not a learning resource. It is directed to people
interested in RPG and fanfiction, who are not interested in learning how the
languages, or even the reconstruction mechanics, work. IIRC the site has the
appropriate disclaimers

And yes, it's true that the site existed before PE17 and some movie-elvish was
adopted.
