Yes. Sorry about the delay, but I returned from Omentielva Tatya in Antwerp only
yesterday. Here are the relevant URLs:
http://www.uib.no/people/hnohf/quenpron.doc
http://www.uib.no/people/hnohf/khuzder.doc
The second item may now need a little updating, as is also the case with my own
article on Khuzdul: During the conference in Antwerp, Bill Welden handed out
copies of Parma Eldalamberon #17, an issue that had in no way been announced
earlier (and even now it doesn't seem to be mentioned on any of the websites of
the Editorial Team). Containing 200+ pages of post-LotR material, it is of great
interest.
This issue presents Tolkien's own comments on the various samples of "exotic"
languages in the LotR, and there is some new information about Khuzdul as well.
The word _baruk_ "axes" is said to be the plural form of _bark_ "axe" (p. 85),
and the root of _azan_ "dark, dim" as in Azanulbuzar is not ZN, but 'ZN with an
initial glottal stop (p. 37). So this is really a triconsonantal base after all,
and Christopher Tolkien was wrong to cite the root as ZN (as he does in RS:466).
Presumably he just overlooked the initial ' in his father's manuscript.
