Description
The Electric Handbag is a group for all users of the Yaesu FT-290 2m multimode radio, and its FT-290R varients, FT-290Rmk1 and FT-290Rmk2's, FT-690's and FT-790's, for hints, kinks, tips, moans and discussions. Everything from 'what does the F button do' to 'how do i realign the PA'.

Hi Peter, Yes it is possible to use an external ctcss unit, although it is suggested to inject the signal after any pre emphases the rig might have. Check this
