This group has been set up to connect participants in the Transition City Initiative. Climate Change and Peak Oil are the most urgent issues we face. Current strategies are not delivering. UK greenhouse gas emissions continue to rise, while Peak Oil is hardly scratching the surface of public awareness. The Transition Town movement offers an effective model for dealing with these issues. Communities across Ireland, England and now Scotland are organising themselves to look practically at how they can support one another to produce their food locally, generate clean energy locally, travel less, waste less, develop stronger local communities, have more fun!
