Description

Welcome to Economy & Frugality! A place where busy mothers may find some relief from the hard work of constantly having to make new clothing to keep up with their growing children while still participating in the reenactments and living history events that they enjoy!

This is a place to sell, swap, or borrow children's clothing for Civil War reenacting and other mid-19th century living history occasions. If you have clothing that your children have outgrown, post it here to sell or perhaps to trade with someone who may have the next size up! If you need an item for your child for a one-time event, perhaps you can borrow that item from someone else! This can save us money and time and promotes recycling!

A few guidelines:

1.) The Group is meant for the sale, swap, and borrowing of authentic reproductions of mid-19th century children's clothing and other items (toy, accessories, etc.). It is requested that items be made of proper materials and be well researched.

2.) The Group is for non-commercial use only. Discussion and recommendations for good sources/vendors are okay. If you are a vendor and want to be included in the "links" section of the group, contact the moderator.

3.) Transactions are between members. The moderator is not responsible in any way and does not provide any guarantees. Please describe your items honestly and thoroughly. Use the photo section of the Group to post pictures. Details such as price and shipping costs should be worked out between members.

4.) If you have found someone to sell to or swap with, please take the detail discussion off the Group and into private emails.

Please spread the word and share the link to this Group with all the people you know who reenact with children. The more people we get to join, the better our chances of finding items we can use/swap/borrow. Let's promote authentically dressed children at all our events!!

Enjoy!
