BTW- on the card layouts- I've run across a couple "full deck"
readings, both in Tarot and in playing cards. The thing with any such
reading is that card readings come under the category of sortilage.
The reading comes from combining the meaning assigned to the symbol
and the reading assigned to the position that it is in after some
process of "randomization" . Most of the full deck readings I've seen
have the cards stacked in various positions, with the layers of cards
giving more detail under the subject heading of the position. I do
remember one though (Tarot) that had a basic set in the middle- I
think astrological, and then the rest of the cards were laid down in
a rectangle around the central pattern, and described the upcoming
year- 3 months to a side, I think it was about 12 cards per side, or
4 per month. As I recall, when I tried it, it took up more than a
bed, had to use the dining room table, and of course, some of the
cards seemed more pertinent than others. Anyone could make such a
system up- simply decide what the cards mean, and what the positions
mean. As with most card reading, the readers psychic sense makes a
lot of the connections, but I figure that as with so many card
readings I've done, I can be amazed at the way that the cards fall
into positions that are totally unambiguous, and quite accurate. It's
one of the cool things about the cards.
