I put in my idea that the critical missing piece of One Laptop Per
Child is the infrastructure of renewable electricity and broadband
wireless Internet to get all of the children's laptops hooked up
together. In this way they can access not only the educational riches
available on the Internet, but each other as well.

we can get going with a modest amount of money, to affect the greatest
possible number of people for the better. Google proposes several
areas, such as health, education, opportunity, and so on. The best
ideas will lead to advances on more than one of these.
