Subject: 12 Hairy Photos

Last year I learned that my Dear Sweet Friend, Donna Boe, had a reoccurrence of brain tumors. I wanted to do something. I wasn't allowed to do any doctoring; good thing, too, huh? So I decided that I would grow out what hair I have on my head and donate it to Locks of Love. Since last year, another Good Friend, John Weinkein, die from Cancer, and my cousin Buddy Davidson has been diagnosed with cancer. And I have lost a lots of other good friends and family over the years to Cancer, including my wonderful Father and Sweet Cousin "St. Becky"! Locks of Love takes the hair that is donated and make wigs for children who, for whatever reason, have lost their hair. The hair has to be over 10 inches long for it to be of use to them. I didn't think mine was long enough, but to my surprise, it was almost 13 inches long. Sooooooo ............,

Today I went to the Hair Salon at the place my Mom lives at to get my hair cut.

My hair is not thick but it is long enough to donate to Lock of Love. They make wigs for
children that for some reason have no hair.

Yep, that is Ol' St. Nick riding with me this year.

This is in the shop getting ready for the shearing.

The only thing that would have made Mom smile more is if I cut the beard of too. Did that once.
Sat and talked to her and Dad for over 20 minutes before they noticed. Once was enough.

They want the hair in small ponytails if you are going to take it down to the skin.

One down about eight more to go.

And you thought I looked funny before!

Last one coming off. Sorta feeling naked!

Did this once before, 1-1 haircut when I joined the Navy. You Sailors out there know
what I'm talking about!

Now that 's a lot of hair coming out of your ear!

Feel like the "scalpie" at a scalping party. Hey, it is only hair and it will grow back, or not!

It was fun for me, hope it made you smile and maybe it will help some small child who has not hair.

God Save the Republic!
