A group for the online discussion of topics relevant to the aims of the Southern Railways Group (SRG). This involves the exchange of information and knowledge about the Southern Railway, the Southern Region of British Railways, their successor companies and minor railways in the south of England, for the purposes of research or modelling.

Membership is restricted to members of the SRG. To join SRG go to www.srg.org.uk/Membership.htm.

The rules are few, and simple.

1) Messages must be related to topics relevant to the SRG

2) Personal or offensive emails are not permitted. Please respect the opinions of others.

3) Attachments to emails will be removed automatically (to protect members from possible viruses), see below for how to share files and pictures.

4) Use the Files or Photos sections of the Yahoo Groups website to share pictures or other files, as appropriate but beware of Copyright issues.

5) When replying to a message, clip only enough of the original message to clarify what you are responding to. Do NOT copy the whole message

6) Please modify the Subject line as necessary to reflect changes of topic.

7) Members are encouraged to sign messages with their real names. Messages should NOT be signed using nicknames alone: they may not receive the anticipated response.

8) You will not be able to access e-SRG through "Grouply" (or similar services), and may not issue invites to join such services through e-SRG.

9) The decision of the moderators is final.
