Welcome to DX "Distance" Hiking, a group devoted to hiking enthusiasts throughout southwestern Virginia. The Appalachian mountains in our area offer some of the best hiking opportunities in the United States, including the longest segment of the Appalachian Trail in any one state. There are trails for every level - from novice to expert. We're always seeking new members regardless of your location, as long as you've hiked in southwest Virginia or want to.
