Duncan Hunter on free trade: Unlike many Republicans, Duncan Hunter is skeptical of many aspects of free trade. He supports "fair trade," that which benefits the USA, not a free give-away that harms the US. Historically and philosophically, conservatives have been opposed to unbridled free trade (vide Russell Kirk), and they should. It is destroying our economy (we now have the largest trade deficit in world history), and it is undermining our sovereignty.
