If you didn't get out to the first annual "PAPPG invades Maryland because it's
STILL NOT winter, yet" fly in--
Here's a bit of what you missed:
http://pappg.com
Scroll down and click the play button in the viewer. You can enlarge to full
screen to watch in high def.
A big thank you goes to Jeff Shriner, who did the video, of course.
The fly in lived up to its name.
It was blowy and cold at the beginnng of the weekend, but mellowed out and
warmed up, nicely. We flew in good air every single window from Friday evening,
on (yes, it glassed off hard to yield about 50 minutes of baby butt smooth air,
after blowing 15-25 ALL day!),
On sunday, we had guys flying in their T-shirts.
I believe EVERYONE had a very good time, hanging out with with some great
people, and flying in a terrific location. I know I had a blast.
A handful of us stayed to fly both ends of Monday, as well. I just got back late
last night, and have some catching up to do.
Enjoy the video. I'll try to post a bit more, later.
Cheers,

Fly like your life depends on it!
Thanks for the replies, guys.
So far, we've got about 20 PILOTS from 7 states planning to attend. I'm sure
the list will continue to grow.
For anyone reading this, if you haven't raised your hand to express your
interest, yet-- please email me at info@... to let me know you want
to join us. I hope to have a registration page up in the next week.
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone, again, and getting some skytime,
together.
Joe, I'm very happy your landings are softer, now. At our age, we have a
limited tolerance for hard ones!

Sounds like a good idea. I will probably be there Sunday. For us
bowhunters, Friday and Saturday are legal hunting days during the rut.
Maybe I can make a bow rack for my cage. I certainly see more deer when
I am flying.

Sorry to hear you were injured. I’m sure it
hurts. Anyway it was good to see you again along with all my other old
time friends. James did a fantastic job in selection of the site and the
overall management of a major flyin. I’m impressed. I think

Yes,
it was a great flyin! Best weather and wind ever for three days straight. Good
times with all of the flyers from MD and PA and more. Wonderful big flat field.
Tolerant and interested neighbors and spectators.
Slugger did a
fine job setting up all the details for a first time fest. I would consider
helping to do another one.
Oh, and
yes to those that are interested. My wrist is broken.

This is a slugfest .. dan is commin and all but it is not tech. a dukes flyin. fyi.
Is it your intention to supply for sale food all day ?
If so thats great ... I was trying to set up a guy with food and a grill to supply this service but if you want to do it go for it I want food/drinks served from like 10am sat. thru to the pig roast at sunset that day. and for a few hours on sunday as people are leaving. All profits u make r yours.
So if you want all that responsibilty i'll gladly kick it off to ya. But maybe more than your looking for ? ... I dont want to make any money ... but if I get the other guy he is going to want to be the sole food guy and not have competition from your set up.
So decide if you want to be stuck at the grill or not or maybe let us use your cart for some amout of rent ? Or whatever as I dont care i am just looking for a vendor option i can kick it off to and not worrie about it.
