Description

A general purpose, international, help, learning, resource and BS'ing group for DVAR (Digital Voice for Amateur Radio) including ICOM's D-STAR® products, dplus interoperability (dv dongles, DVAP's, reflectors), G2-ULF, hotspots and node adapters, software applications (D-RATS, etc.) and anything else amateur AMBE vocoded or even possibly digital, or not.

Keep posts civil and in the spirit of amateur radio, no-spam, flames, personal attacks or profanity. Cross posts from other lists are discouraged except under unusual circumstances and then only with the originator's consent. Help maintain a useful signal to noise ratio in your posts, even those off topic.

Matt, I got involved in D-STAR in the Spring of 2011 when our club put up a UHF repeater here locally. There is a little more involved in programming memories

Hi, When I first got into amateur radio I bought a HT and that was only one band back then with 10 channels. I did not need to buy another radio for a a year

I don't have an ID880, but if the DR mode works like my IC-9100 the RPT2 will not be populated if you use the radio's internal CQCQCQ. Instead program CQCQCQ
