The area behind the Bowls Club on Spalding Road, DSJ - up to opposite Broadgate Lane is generally referred to as The Orchard. 

The clue is in the apple trees planted approx 30 years ago.

Don't know what it was called before that!!

I have only lived in the Deepings for 11 years but have never before heard of anywhere called Deeping Common.

Police are appealing for information after a car was stolen in Deeping Common. This incident took place sometime between 8pm on June 22 and 8.30am on June 23 in Spalding Road, Deeping Common. Offenders broke into a red Vauxhall Brave, registration P414DEG, and stolen it. Anyone with any information can call Stamford Police Station on: (01780) 752222, quoting incident number 147 of June 23 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111."

I do know Spalding Road.

While on this subject, do you all (or any of you) know exactly where 'The Orchard' is?
