The Down Syndrome Association of the Philippines,
Inc. (DSAPI) was founded on February 6, 1992 to help
and aid parents and caregivers of children afflicted
with Down Syndrome by providing moral and spiritual
support that will enable them to achieve their highest
potential and goals, as well as to disseminate
information to make the general public more aware and
knowledgeable of the nature of the Down Syndrome and the
conditions, needs, wants, and in general, all matters that
affect persons with Down Syndrome. To this end, the DSAPI
is organized as a non-profit domestic private association
and shall at all times be operated exclusively for such
purposes. It's membership consists mostly of parents of
children with Down Syndrome, medical professionals, therapists,
teachers, educators, and friends.
