I am Gina Lorio, Executive Director of The Miracle League of Greater New Orleans. The Miracle League of Greater New Orleans baseball field, which is currently under construction on the river behind Audubon Park, is a baseball field specially constructed for use by children with disablilities The field is a rubberized field, which will be great for children in wheelchairs, walkers and other walking apparatuses.

This league's mission is to promote the health and well-being of disabled children, provide opportunities for able-bodied children to learn about and interact with children with disabilities. Every child who plays ball will have a buddy and a life long friend.

Our goal this fall season is to have 96 players and buddies. The league will have a spring and fall season and will be open to any disabled child between the ages of 6 to 12 years old.
