Description
"Hatip & Shalom!" "Sisters & Brothers of African decent and/or spiritual attainment.
"HOTEP" (It's Meaning & Origin)
"Hatpi"
...is the Akkadian pronunciation of the New Kingdom Kami (i.e. Egyptian) word for "Peace". Today, a lot of people pronounce it as "Hotep" or spell it as "Hetep". An older pronunciation of it would be "Hatip" an indigenous Kami pronunciation as revealed on page 36 of Antonio Loprieno's book "Ancient Egyptian; A Linguistic Introduction". The actual orthodox spelling of it would be "htp".
"Shalom"
The use of shalom in the Scriptures always points towards that transcendent action of wholeness. Shalom is seen in reference to the wellbeing of others and in prayer for the wellbeing of cities or nations. Coincidentally, the root shalem, found in Jerusalem, means peaceful. Yet, its transcendence lies in its relationship to truth and justice. The wholeness of shalom, through justice and truth, inspires the words of hope.
My name is Yoshayah Ben Yehudah, founder of this group and this introduction is about an African American online community service called...
"The Drum Beat Interactive Information Center"
A serious "people of color" and "spiritual awareness" issues, news, and topics outlet! The purpose of this group is open-ended in the hope that Sistas & Brothas can come together to discuss and learn as well as learn to discuss issues important to their awareness, enlightenment, well being, and survival. The goal is spiritual attainment and unity as well as proving the point we as a cultural group can agree to disagree and still maintain a connection to help one another develop & grow stronger.
We would like to become available to as many outlets as possible! We're hoping to become established as a meeting place to interact with topics and events that has an impact on our communities the world over.
In other words, "E-NETWORKING" for teaching & learning about our many cultures and how to combine our many resources.
