East Bay Pesticide Alert / Don’t Spray California has existed since 2000 (following Sonoma Pesticide Alert’s work since 1993) offering information, in-depth analysis, strategy, and practical help in work to stop pesticide use and understand the basis of pesticide plans implemented by government agencies.

Standing out from some groups which compromise away the safety of many of the most vulnerable populations by sponsoring legislation based on Risk Assessment, full of compromising “winnable goals”, and promoting the legally-meaningless “less toxic” lingo, EBPA steadfastly calls for an end to the pesticide approach. It results not only in health and environmental devastation but creates an economy based on cutting healthy, manual labor jobs for parks and maintenance department workers, substituting them with a few highly-paid Licensed Pesticide Applicators (LPA’s), crews of poorly-paid workers spraying and otherwise applying poisons, and tanks full of toxic pesticides dumped into our environment, downloaded into our bodies.
