Description

Chancellor's Parent Advisory Council (CPAC)

An organization that represents parents of students in all public schools in New York City

Sanctioned by the NYC Department of Education (DoE)

As of 2007, there are 39 Voting Members of CPAC representing all NYC Public Schools.

Voting membership is composed of Presidents of Presidents' Councils in 32 Community School Districts (grades PreK-8) and in 5 Borough High School Districts (grades 9-12). There is also a Citywide Special Education District (Dist. #75) and a Citywide District of Alternative High School Programs (Dist. #79).

Monthly meetings are open to the public & held at NYC-DoE headquarters:
