Description

Primarily for San Luis Obispo (SLO) County and Central California State Park Docents and Volunteers, but open to the public, especially other Naturalists, Volunteers, past-docents, CCNHA members, et al. who share nature-related interests... including events, observations, photos, and questions.  This unrestricted and listed group facilitates free-spirited communications and collaboration among those of us who love our local natural environment, leveraging the fact that many of us work as docents or volunteers.   Only members can post, and all posts are moderated to manage spam and off-topic messages.  Members further registered at the group website http://groups.yahoo.com/group/docents/  and having made successful posts in the past, may be granted the status to post without moderation.  The archives and posts are viewable to anyone regardless of whether or not they are members. This Yahoo! Group is intended to supplement more formal and restricted communication mechanisms that currently permit only highly targeted messages to be sent privately to sanctioned members.  A related website has been created at http://docents.info to supplement this Yahoo! Group.
