The idea of the Community Council is to take volunteers willing to lead community projects, build project review boards, collect ideas on a specific subject from the D&D community, and combine those ideas into a Netbook document to be freely distributed anywhere on the internet.



With the 3rd edition of the game, we have an opportunity to bring something extra to the game. By appointing a volunteer project leader to organize the effort, building a focus group of 2-7 review board members, developing a vision for the project, following a set process methodology, collecting information from around the web, analyzing the submissions of others, creating continuity within the project, publishing these projects in one easy to use format, providing monthly or quarterly updates, and offering unlimited distribution, we provide a service that no gaming company can ever hope to outdo. That is the purpose of the community council. To provide a clear, common, coordinated objective to a team of hard working role-players and have them build a package of material to cover a specific topic.
