Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim. Salaam 'Alaikum wa Rahmtullahi wa Barakatu.
Divorced Muslim Women is a group for divorced Muslimas, Muslimas in the process of divorcing, and married Muslimas experiencing marital crises (even if you are not planning to divorce).
There are no online resources (and very little offline) for divorced Muslimas. Insha'Allah, DMW will be a safe place for you to work out your anger, confusion, resentment, hurt, and pain. And it will be a place for you to support others by sharing what you've learned.
1. DMW is for married or divorced Muslim women only. No men, no non Muslims divorcing Muslim men. You must submit an intro in order to join (this will be posted to the group). This file will be sent to you when you apply to join.
2. In order to maintain the supportive atmosphere, please keep all politics and sectarian discussions (Sunni / Shi'a / Sufi / Selafi / Whateveri) off of the list.
3. No long cut and pastes. If you find an article you wish to share, post an excerpt or short summary and then the link.
4. Whatever is posted on this list stays here. You do not forward anything from this list to any other list without the express permission of the person who wrote it. People who fwd without permission or violate the privacy of this list will be banned.
5. Remember your Islamic adab. Every post should begin with proper Islamic greetings, in English or Arabic transliteration (no "AA"). Similarly, you should take the extra few seconds to write out the full salawat on the Messenger, peace be upon him. Finally, anger is understandable, but foul language is not.
