Description

This is the official forum of the fanzine DITKOMANIA, devoted to the work of comics artist Steve Ditko! Here you can discuss the fanzine (both its past and present) with other DM readers as well as learn about what's coming up in future issues!

DITKOMANIA was founded by Bill Hall, who published the zine from 1983 to 1999! In 2001, Bill announced DM's retirement, but it was later revived by new editor/publisher Rob Imes with his permission. The new DM picked up where the old numbering left off, with its first issue (#64) being released on March 1st, 2008.

On the right, you can view the cover by Batton Lash of the brand-new issue (#87), which was released on February 17, 2012. The new issue is 32 B&W pages long (counting the covers) and includes reviews of the new Ditko Omnibuses published by DC. Nick Caputo contributes three articles this issue (on Hawk Dove, on Shade the Changing Man, and on Ditko's new work). There's also a "Ditko by Design" column Javier Hernandez (about Ditko's new comics), a long letters page (including a short letter by Dave Sim), and more!

Re: The Avengers take over
I normally don't care much for changing a character's ethnicity for a movie. But in this case, I'm fine with Nick Fury, because 1. The character behaves like
